Sample Answer 2 (Aiming for IELTS Band 6.0):
I have a keen interest in food and cooking. I enjoy experimenting with different recipes and flavors in the kitchen. One of my favorite dishes to prepare is a classic Italian pasta dish called spaghetti carbonara. To make it, I start by boiling the pasta until it's al dente, then I sauté pancetta (Italian bacon) until it's crispy. Next, I whisk eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper in a bowl. Once the pasta and pancetta are ready, I combine them in a pan and quickly mix in the egg and cheese mixture to create a creamy, flavorful sauce. It's a relatively simple dish but incredibly satisfying.
I also like to bake. One of my go-to desserts is a homemade apple pie. I use a buttery pie crust and fill it with a mixture of sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and a hint of lemon juice. The aroma of the pie baking in the oven is simply irresistible.
Food and cooking allow me to express my creativity, and I often share my dishes with friends and family, who appreciate my culinary endeavors.

Sample Answer 1 (Aiming for IELTS Band 4.0):
I don't cook much, to be honest. My cooking skills are quite basic. I can make simple dishes like instant noodles, fried eggs, and sandwiches. When I'm hungry, I prefer to order food from local restaurants or grab something quick like fast food. Cooking just doesn't interest me, and I find it easier to eat out or get takeout. My favorite dish is probably phở [fuh]—it's a popular Vietnamese noodle soup. It's delicious and readily available at local eateries, so I don't need to cook it myself.
